Ollie Gurr was quick to react to the weather warming up recently, heading straight for a walk around Fox Pool to see if its residents had woken up. Ollie quickly found a large group of fish, sunning themselves in a big set of snags, and made the decision to bait an area close by with a mix of Hemp, Manilla pellets, Corn and chopped Manilla, and then return a few days later. Ollie's plan worked perfectly, as it wasn’t long after his return, that he had an incredible fish known as “The Dark Mirror” Safely in his net at a staggering 42lbs. Well done Ollie. #Manilla

Gardner Tackle team member Mark Casper followed up an amazing spell of catching monster River Thames Pike with a bit of prudent baiting and priming for the gigantic Chub and Barbel he planned to target if the weather fell right. A class angler like Mark is always going to catch his fair share, but on this occasion that would be an understatement! After baiting at lunch time, the 'Specialized Hookbaits' boss man nipped to the river for dusk and quickly patched into a really powerful fish that tore across the river for a solid 20 minute battle. It wasn't long before it was resting Safely in the bottom of his landing net, all 18lb 0oz of it! Mark used our 12lb Pro main line, 15lb Ultra Skin and a super sharp size 8 Covert Dark Wide Gape Talon Tip hook. Hookbait was a 10mm boilie made from Specialized Hookbaits GLM range which they use to make their cork ball pop up range.

TBT – Once again, it’s Tim Rowland with his second fish of his incredible first trip to the Linch Hill Complex. Only moments after slipping back a stunning mid-thirty zip linear, Tim’s right-hand rod was away. After a Short battle, Tim soon had one of the venues large commons Safely in the net, and at a PB busting 41lb 2oz, he soon received the traditional Linch Hill soaking. #TheKrill

Recently our Benelux consultant Geert Ooms experienced an extraordinary occurrence. When repositioning a rod after catching a smaller carp that was unhooked in the net and released straight away, his other rod belted off. Upon making contact to something that felt heavy and powerful he noticed that the rodtip of the rod that he’d just casted out was gradually bending over as well! This situation made Geert playing both fish simultaneous as if it was part of the Olympics. Each fish was successfully landed –Geert knows that using two landing nets has many benefits!- and resulted in well over 90 lb of mindblowing carp Safely and temporarily enclosed in the mesh. Geert’s advice when using CC Moore baits: “make sure you always have a spare net ready ☺”

Success for Mark Noorman! Fox Benelux consultant Mark Noorman recently experienced an eventful night at one of his local lakes. He sent us the following report: “The last couple of weeks I’ve started baiting up and fishing with the new Pacific Tuna boilies from CC Moore. The first few sessions several carp were landed and by keeping the bait going in steadily the rewards last weekend were spectacular! No less than six carp ended on the mat with the highlight being one of the biggest commons of the lake. Although the fish was at summer weight and the scales remained only just under the 20kg mark, it did not bother me at all. These old chestnut commons are the ones I prefer to catch, a number cannot change the joy such a catch brings. Rig wise I always keep things relatively simple, but extremely reliable. The Kuro S4 XS has been my favorite hook for many years, and again all hooked carp were Safely landed. Besides the large common I also landed a fantastic, much younger fully scaled mirror. When fished with a shrink tube line aligner and tied with Camotex Semi Stiff, I believe this rig is one of the most aggressive ones, with very reliable hook hold while playing the fish. As they say ‘never change a winning team’.” Well done Mark a couple of stunning carp there!
